About Courtney

Courtney Leigh Heins, a Hoosier native, combines Americana music with compelling stories about life in the Heartland & Hollywood. Courtney has performed  at the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, the Anchorage Folk Festival and The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN as a part of their Sunday Writers' Night series and Saturday Night In-the-Round. Locally, she has played in Los Angeles at The Viper Room, The Rainbow, Genghis Cohen & Molly Malone's, where she opened for I See Hawks in LA and Jes Hudak (Platinum Hit). Courtney also performed live on Park City TV in the round with Adam Gaynor (Matchbox 20), Moi Navarro (The Sing-Off) & Brian Ashley Jones (AMA Top 100) and at Nickelodeon's Nickapalooza as lead vocalist of all girl 90's rock band Apocalipz Chau. In 2014, she served as breakfast speaker/performer for Tapestry: A Day for Women, followed by Keynote Speaker, Marilu Henner. Tapestry raises money for women's scholarships. 50% of the proceeds from her event theme song "Our Tapestry" (iTunes) are donated to the scholarship fund.

Courtney's album "Bright Blue World" was released at Sundance and is produced by RIAA Platinum Record producer Jordan Richman (Sabrina Carpenter, Jojo Siwa) and Bryan Dobbs (Frank Stallone Band). Her sophomore album "Hot Coffee" (available on Pandora) features Doug Pettibone (Lucinda Williams, Ray Lamontagne) on guitar. Her music has been featured on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, as well as on Stardust Radio, Whole Wheat Radio, Crooked Sisters Radio Hour and receives airplay on stations from Alaska to Macedonia. She has current publishing deals with ole/Jingle Punks, Monica Benson (BOK Music) and Janet Fisher (Goodnight Kiss Music) and her song "My Kind of Man" can be found on the "Rhythm of Honor" CD, a song compilation that benefits the Wounded Warriors Fund. She also collaborates with a variety of artists, writers and producers in the genres of Country, Rock, Pop and Hip-Hop for specific TV/Film and Artist uses.
